Hello Domainers!

Number one investment for Noob Domainers TIME

Time should be the number one investment for all domainers. Beginners have the toughest road, as there is so much to learn. They have to hunt and find a road and then hope that it is a good one. My goal with this site is to help beginners and professionals increase their success exponentially. Since time is your most valued asset and your most expensive liability, as is mine, my goal is to help you optimize and delegate your time with ever increasing efficiency.

Time the number one investment for all Domainers.

MONEY

Money is the second largest investment for all domainers. Beginners have the largest investment to make, proportionally speaking. Determining what expenses are required after you buy a domain can be as difficult and time requiring as selecting where to buy your first domain and how much to pay for said domain. ( I say proportionally speaking, because most noobs aren’t going to dive in with an investment of $1M, or even $100,000 , for a domain. So an experienced domainer might make a “larger” investment for a domain, but as a noob, you will probably have the largest investment without immediate return.)

SERVICES

New domainers may be tempted to buy domains at the cheapest registrar and then list domains immediately on site like SEDO, Flippa, etc and just “park” the domain there. For a short term investor, that might be the simplest option to flip a domain. For a long term investor, other options should definitely be considered.

Before you choose a registrar, domain service provider or a hosting service, ask yourself a few basic questions.
What services are included with the registrar? Do they offer domain services and if yes, what services are included at no additional yearly fees? If no, what services do they NOT include with your domain registration that you will need, sooner than later and how much will these services cost extra.
If they also include a plethora of domain services that meets your needs, do they also offer hosting services? How much are these hosting services? How many domains can be attached to the hosting service? Does the hosting service include email? ETC! ( I will expand on hosting in a future post.)

Finding one cost efficient solution will save time and money. (At some point, I will start sharing links to my solutions.) The lowest price for domain registration renewal is not always the best option. Paying pennies to a few dollars per year more for your domain registration could save you considerable time and money, once you calculate the cost of the included and NOT included services.
One location to manage all your domaining needs at a price that is supportive of your budget will save you both time and money.
As the name says, DomainersHosting.com is about supplying domainers with hosting. There is only so much you can put in a domain and there is much more to DomainsHosting.com than just hosting. Hosting is just one of the services we offer. ( I will expand on these services in a future post.)

Branding / Promotion

SEO

Everyone in this industry either knows about or has heard about SEO! SEO can be what makes or breaks your success story. SEO can be very simple. ( I will expand on these services in a future post.) Long term domain investors (not quick flippers) that plan to build a brand around their domain names will need to create a plan.
Single page domains are more valuable, in an SEO sense, than parked domains. Creating a single page domain using cornerstone content can greatly increase the listing chances in multiple Search Engines and increase the rank of these listing. This single page can be your initial cornerstone content that initiates the listing and ranking for your domain.

SMM

Many of you will not have heard of SMM, Social Media Marketing. Many of you will not see the value of SMM in regards to selling a domain name. Few of you will completely comprehend and see the value in beginning an SMM campaign for your domains, the day you acquire them.
When I refer to SMM and your domain, what am I referring to? Well, several domain marketing sites will want you to list all the social media sites where you have registered the exact handle as your domain.

Here are a few example:

  • https://www.youtube.com/cocacola – https://www.facebook.com/Coca-Cola/
  • https://www.youtube.com/amazon – https://www.facebook.com/Amazon/
  • https://www.youtube.com/gaiamtv – https://www.facebook.com/Gaia/ (hmm not the same.)

The brighter of you reading this will understand how this can and should be applied across all Social Media platforms. Many of you will see the added branding and thus value added to your domain purchase.

By no means am I suggesting that you should NOT purchase a domain name when you can not secure the Social Media same name registration. What I am suggesting is that after you secure these same name accounts, the value of your domain will increase due to the ease of branding growth you have secured for the domain.

After you secure a social media same name account, your description and first post should include, of course, a link to the domain name. Let people learn it is for sale when they visit the site. The social media platforms do not need any information about the sale or purchase about the domain name. Only a simple introduction that will allow the new owner to build upon.

SEM

Buying traffic for your new domain investment is often a temptation for noobs. Resistance is futile. However, buying traffic is something you should consider after you have completed the gauntlet of proper domain setup. My suggestion is that this is the last method of promotion for a noob domainer. Put a pin in it.
